Russel Bell's India Report — Jan. 14–Feb. 25, 2008

Dear Supporters and Interested,

God has granted us another successful work in India. This was my 45th trip to India, and August 1, I will make my second for 2008. Danny Rader from Bridgeport, AL was my working partner from start to finish. He is a sound gospel preacher and teacher.

Personal statistics from this trip

Presented 68 lessons.
Baptized 90.
Taught in 7 Schools of Preaching.
Worked in 5 states of India, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Karnataka, teaching and preaching in churches and Schools of Preaching in all 5 states.
Revived the North India lectures that had not taken place in 5 years. It went well. We rescheduled for Feb. 2009.
Delivered 10 lessons with the inner city church of Mambai (Bombay) working with veteran preacher Craig Phillips and his wife, Taresa. This city has a population of 18,000,000 people. All went well.
Delivered Bibles, song books, worship supplies, good religious books in their languages, and bicycles to hundreds of churches and preachers.
We continue to emphasize leadership and giving in our teaching and preaching. We believe we will have hundreds of our churches with qualified elders and deacons in the next few years.

With this January/February trip completed, we have half of this $88,000 budget paid for and delivered. We will need about the same amount for our August/September trip; $44,000. These supplies and projects are so appreciated by the preachers and churches. These things are moving the churches in India forward rapidly. God bless you for giving generously so we can provide these things.

There are now more churches of Christ in India that in the U.S. They are growing in number and in depth of maturity. Your donations to this ministry are helping to achieve this. God bless you.
