Russel Bell's India/Romania Report
August 1 to September 8, 2008
Dear Supporters and Interested,
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 1:7b). Our God is too good to us, blessin us with a great work completed in Romania and India.
My first ten days were spent in Romania working with the 7 churches of Christ Harvey starling has established and continues to develop. Good progress continues there with growth in number and maturity. I preached at 5 of those churches this trip, plus one–on–one Bible studies each day through the week. Had opportunity to deliver 27 leassons which in Romania
From Romania, flew on to India to complete my 6 weeks work. This time, spent a days with several Americans: Jack Wade, AZ; Danny Rader, AL; John O'Neal, TX; and Ray Hart, KY. We spent half or more of our time teaching, preaching lectures on leadership, giving, developing churches, etc. A good part of my work remains delivering supplies (Bibles, song books, good religous books in their languages, worship supplies, help on church buildings and bicycles). Listed below is the supplies and funds delivered in 2008 plus statistics for this trip.
Statistics from this just completed work
- Presented 71 lessons.
- Saw 125 baptized (2 Romania; 72 A.P.; 51 T.N.).
- Took part in teaching in several Schools of preaching and preacher lectureships.
- Worked in 2 countries (Romania and India).
- Worked in two states of India, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
- Helped set the dates for the following graduations and lectureships in 2009:
a. National Bible College, Chennai — Feb 8–9. b. Mumbai Lectures with Craig and Taresa Phillips (about 18 inner city churches) —
Feb 12–15. (Congratulations to Craig and Taresa; daughter Anna Renee born
August 30 in Mumbai. Taresa's parents, Eddie and Susan Clore, both with
Harding University, were with Taresa during delivery and were very helpful.)c. North India Bible College Lectures and Graduation — Feb 19–20. (Lecturer will
cover the book of James.) - Delivered Bibles, song books, worship supplies, good religous books in their languages and bicycles to hundreds of churches and individuals.
- We continue to emphasize leadership and giving in our teaching and preaching. We believe we will have hundreds of churches with qualified elders and deacons in the next few years.

With the help of many dedicated Christians and churches, all supplies and projects for 2008 were paid for and delivered. Our desire is to make 2 more trips to India (47th and 48th) in 2009 and supply these much needed things, as outlined above, which will cost $95,000. All money from book sales go to India Evangelism.
