Russel Bell's India Report — January 12–February 22, 2010

Dear Supporters and Interested,

Gal. 1:3-5 “Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father: to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.” What a wonderful work God has given us in India which we just concluded. We continue to emphasize leadership and giving liberally in our lessons. New churches are coming up in India daily. More and more churches are maturing to the point they are installing elders and deacons. Their Sunday collections are growing due to more teaching on the subject. Their economy is doing better than other countries, plus they are growing up spiritually in this giving grace also. India remains the ripest harvest field in the world for souls.

Statistics from the just completed work

Presented 60 lessons.
Saw 87 baptized.
Worked in 2 of India's states: A.P. and T.N.
Delivered Bibles, song books, New Testaments, worship supplies, and good religious books in their languages, bicycles and help on church buildings all over India.
We worked out dates for lectures and graduations from one end of India to the other, as outlined below, in February 2011.

Mumbai Lectures with Craig Phillips, Feb. 2–6
Aurangabad Bible College Lectures and Graduation, Feb. 7–11, with Amel B. a Regendrea C.
National Bible College, Chennai, Peter Solomon, Feb. 13–14
North India Bible College, Chandagar, Earnest Gill, Feb. 17–18

Taught in a 5–day preachers seminar in Podili with Henry Paul hosting (Roy Lanier, Sr. Book ”The Church“ the textbook).
Other preacher seminars, 3–day, 2–day, 1–day.
Spent 5 nights in Sister Patricia Orphanage that has 90 children. We are able to fully support this children's home with donations to India Evangelism.
We have strong hopes that 3 denominational churches we spoke at will become churches of Christ very soon. All 3 agreed to begin taking communion every Sunday and be a church of Christ.
Was given great celebrations in Eluru, Draksarama, Skinner's Graden, Podili, and St. Thomas Mountain for my Golden Jubilee, 50th trip to India. All five of these churches honored me for my 50th jubilee.

Here is my plan to raise the $95,000. I am asking churches and individuals to donate $300 to $1,000 each. Some churches and individuals are donating twice each year and others monthly. Any amount would be helpful and appreciated.

Things are well at Sister Patricia's Orphanage with our 90 children. We spent 5 days there this trip, sleeping there at night and preaching in area churches in the daytime.

There are now more churches of Christ in India that in the U.S. The churches are growing up spiritually. Your donations to this ministry are helping to achieve that. God bless you.

Also special thanks to all the churches and individuals who support us, as well as provide the $95,000 for our above list of India Evangelism projects. My books "Rightly Dividing the Word of God" volumes I, II, III, IV and V, are available at $5 each; "God Man Money" at $10 per copy, postage paid by me. All moneys from the sale of books go to India Evangelism.

My next work in India will be Jan. 11 to Feb. 21, 2011.

Also, In June 8–30, 2011, I will direct a door knocking campaign in Capt Town, South Africa, the Athlone congregation. I will take 11 other workers with me. We will set up Bible studies, teach and baptize for 3 weeks before returning to the U.S.

My second trip to India will be July 26 to Sept. 5, 2011.
